The Berner Generationenhaus used to be the home of the Burgerspital, which was then used exclusively as a retirement home. Today, it offers a wide range of services in the areas of advice, care, social security and living together. Various socio-cultural events also take place there.
Initial situation/requirements:
Our long-standing client commissioned Kilchenmann to replace and optimize the existing digital signage system. In addition, the various multifunctional conference rooms (for meetings and events) were also equipped with intuitive media technology.
Technical implementation:
The new digital signage system is based on an HTML5 solution that uses a system on chip (SOC). A total of nine displays ranging in size from 43 to 55 inches were installed in and around the building, two of which are outdoor displays.
On the wayfinding system displays, visitors will find arrows indicating the direction of travel as well as booking information for meetings, events, etc. A three-part display combination in the reception area shows content such as an event overview and information about the Burgergut. The eight digital Roomz door signs show the bookings for the respective rooms: The data is obtained from the customer's event software, processed by the easescreen system and then shown on the displays and door signs.
The Generationenhaus offers meeting rooms for hire for events or meetings, which are equipped with the following media technology:
Bubenbergsaal 1 and Bubenbergsaal 2 (up to 100 people): Projector with screen, screens, loudspeakers, touch panel, HDMI, VGA and ClickShare connection and an inductive hearing system.
Archery room 2 (up to 30 people): Projector with screen, HDMI, VGA and ClickShare connection and speakers.
Spittelsaal (up to 100 people): Projector with screen, screens, HDMI, VGA and ClickShare connection, inductive hearing system, loudspeakers, wireless microphone and headset.
Studio (up to 20 people): Screen with HDMI connection and ClickShare.
Other meeting rooms are equipped with displays, video conferencing systems for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), wireless presentation systems and HDMI connections.
