IDS Group: Switzerland's Largest Network for Event and Media Technology

Inno Digital Services AG (IDS) is expanding its group of companies to include Winkler Livecom AG and its subsidiaries, Winkler Systems AG and Mesol AG. The Winkler Group employs a total of approximately 120 people, who will become part of the IDS Group in the future.

The IDS Group is thus strategically expanding its position in the Swiss market and building the largest network for professional event and media technology (ProAV) in Switzerland. This is made possible by bringing together several established companies from the ProAV and live event industries under the IDS umbrella.

Strengthening event expertise within the group

Following the merger of auviso and Kilchenmann in 2024, the integration of Winkler Livecom marks the next step in IDS’s “Buy & Build” strategy. Together with the existing brands auviso and Kilchenmann, this creates not only Switzerland’s leading network for systems engineering but also the leading center of expertise for events and live productions. This will enable the group to execute event projects across Europe in the future.

“With Winkler Livecom, we are gaining a company with a strong event DNA, close market ties, and robust partnerships,” says Urs Wälchli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the IDS Group. “In addition, with Christian Künzli, the IDS Group is gaining an experienced board member who knows the business from the ground up and will actively support the implementation of our future strategy.”

Clear roles within the IDS Group

Winkler Livecom AG will assume the lead role in IDS’s Events business segment. Winkler Systems AG will remain an independent company and will focus on strengthening system integration and AV installation solutions
within the group. Mesol AG will also remain independent and will continue to expand its leading position in the media technology business specializing in the hospitality industry in the Zurich market region.

“The merger with the IDS Group opens up long-term opportunities for us,” says Christian Künzli, CEO of Winkler Livecom. “We can further strengthen our market position while benefiting from the group’s strength and network
.”

The three companies complement the Group’s portfolio in the 360° business areas and will continue to operate under their existing company names. For customers, the usual points of contact remain unchanged.
