Barcelona, packed halls, intense discussions, and lots of concrete ideas. Under the motto "Push Beyond," ISE 2026 demonstrated what a leading trade fair needs to deliver today: less focus on technology, more solutions with real added value for spaces and events.

Together with customer advisors from auviso and Kilchenmann, we were there as the IDS Group. Our goal was clear: to identify relevant developments and translate them into concrete approaches for projects.

Why we go to ISE

For us, ISE is not a mandatory event, but rather a strategic working tool. We use the trade show to critically examine trends, ask manufacturers specific questions, and test innovations for their practical suitability.

The fact that topics such as AI, sustainability, and cybersecurity were the focus in 2026 is exactly in line with what we are currently experiencing in projects: increasing connectivity, greater dynamism, and growing demands for security and efficiency.

ISE 2026 – a brief review

Integrated Systems Europe confirmed its role as the world's leading trade show for professional AV and systems integration solutions in 2026. More than 90,000 visitors and around 1,700 exhibitors once again made Barcelona the global meeting place for the industry.

There was a noticeable shift from individual products to integrated complete solutions. AI was not discussed as a vision of the future, but was presented as a concrete function in collaboration, control, and analysis processes. At the same time, topics such as energy efficiency, lifecycle management, and IT security continued to gain strategic importance.

Focus: Three key developments for our projects

1. Space as an integrated experience
Modern AV technology is increasingly being considered an integral part of architecture. Displays, LED screens, and media technology are no longer add-ons, but actively shape spatial concepts. For our projects, this means early integration into planning and design, as well as close coordination with architects and building owners.

2. Audio as a quality factor
Especially in hybrid work and event environments, audio quality determines acceptance and impact. Intelligent microphone technologies, precise speaker systems, and software-supported optimization ensure clear speech intelligibility and consistent experiences. Audio is planned strategically, not as an afterthought.

3. Networked peripherals and simple operation
Cameras, control systems, and interfaces are rapidly evolving toward IP-based infrastructures. Standardization and interoperability facilitate integration and operation. At the same time, the user experience is central. Technology must be powerful, but remain intuitive for users.

Bruno Staub, Head of Product Management:  "ISE 2026 has once again impressively underscored its position as the global meeting place for the pro AV industry and a catalyst for innovation, strategic exchange, and sustainable partnerships."

Our conclusion: ISE 2026 has shown that successful projects are not created by individual technologies, but by well-thought-out overall concepts. This is exactly where we come in at Kilchenmann. We combine technology, space, and usage to create solutions that work in the long term and truly connect people.
