As a long-standing technology partner of the Swiss Economic Forum (SEF), Kilchenmann was also responsible for the complete technical implementation of the renowned business conference in Interlaken in 2025. The centerpiece was a 60 m² LED wall on the main stage and around 50 networked displays for digital signage throughout the event area. We are particularly proud of the efforts of our apprentices, who were responsible for the planning and implementation of the visitor guidance system - a successful combination of experience and the promotion of young talent.
The Swiss Economic Forum (SEF), organized by NZZ Connect, is the most important economic conference in Switzerland. From June 5 to 6, 2025, over 1,000 decision-makers from business, science, politics and the media met in the Congress Kursaal Interlaken to exchange ideas under this year's motto "Earn it.".
Initial situation/requirements:
As a long-standing technical partner, Kilchenmann has been an integral part of the SEF since 2008. This year, Kilchenmann was once again responsible for the complete technical planning, coordination and implementation of the conference. The aim was to ensure a smooth technical infrastructure - from the main stage to the breakout rooms and digital visitor guidance.
Technical implementation:
The Kilchenmann team of around 30 people traveled to Interlaken on 30 May to start setting up. In the Forum, the main hall of the event, we installed a comprehensive complete solution - the central highlight was our new 60 m² LED wall, which contributed significantly to the impressive staging of the content. We also designed and implemented the sound system (PA system), lighting technology and wireless microphones.
The breakout rooms were equipped with modernmultimedia technology to enable interactive discussions with experts. In addition to the main stage, digital signage was also a central element of this year's set-up: Kilchenmann installed around 50 displays throughout the event area for visitor guidance and live content playout. The screens were centrally networked so that the client could display content flexibly and in a targeted manner.
This year, we gave our budding event technicians responsibility for their own sub-project: the planning and implementation of the signage throughout the entire site and in the event rooms. A valuable opportunity to combine theory and practice on one of Switzerland's most renowned platforms.
Around 50media representativesattended the event on site, including Swiss Radio and Television (SRF), which broadcast the event live on several channels. Immediately after the last session on June 6, the Kilchenmann team began dismantling and ensured that all components were dismantled smoothly.
