Kilchenmann realized the complete technical planning and implementation for the startup days in the Kursaal Bern. In addition to the arena, several meeting rooms were also used for presentations and workshops - with correspondingly diverse requirements for the technology.
The startup days (SUD) are the nationwide business and networking platform for startups, investors, SMEs and corporates in Switzerland. In just one day, participants meet the entire Swiss startup ecosystem in Bern. The event format was founded and first held in 2004 by the non-profit association Startup INVEST. LINDEN 3L AG has been responsible for the implementation and further development of the platform since 2021.
Technical implementation:
In the run-up to the main event, an external event was organized. An exclusive TSL VIP event took place in the Orangerie Elfenau, where Kilchenmann provided atmospheric lighting accents.
The opening with Dominik Isler and Richard Barrons' keynote as well as the closing with the pitch format "Catch of the Jury" and the farewell ceremony took place in the arena. During the day, the arena served as a customer zone. A mobile video control room transmitted live images to an LED wall, which also continuously displayed program information.
A so-called "Silent Concert" was realized on the AI Stage in Forum West: The content was transmitted exclusively via headphones - ideal for smaller panel discussions and an intensive listening experience.
Various discussion rounds, each with 15-20 participants, took place on small 2x2 meter stages in the Unplugged Stage (Arena). The intimate atmosphere was supported by a reduced but targeted technical setup.
The twelve meeting rooms were completely empty at the start and were equipped from the ground up. Kilchenmann installed displays, an audio control system including sound reinforcement, video cameras and a presentation laptop for PowerPoint content in each room. The result was a comprehensive, mobile infrastructure that enabled professional audio and video transmission and contributed significantly to a successful presentation experience.
Thanks to smooth coordination and around 30 specialists, the set-up, rehearsals and implementation went efficiently and reliably.
