Spital Lachen AG is a high-quality, patient-oriented hospital that provides integrated health care in cooperation with general practitioners and other health care institutions in the region. 

Initial situation/requirements:

As an AV integrator, Kilchenmann was tasked with renewing the media technology in our client's cafeteria. Based on the requirements, we prepared a suitable quotation and developed a coherent concept. Planning and implementation were carried out in close cooperation with the client so that a functional solution could be realized.

Technical concept:

We implemented a modern media technology solution for the cafeteria, which is used for regular operations as well as for events and lectures.

The centerpiece is a 136-inch LED wall that is integrated into the in-house network so that the customer can play out content independently. The sound is provided by two speakers mounted on the side. These were specially designed to blend harmoniously into the wall design on the left and right. In addition, two delay loudspeakers ensure even sound distribution in the large room.

It is controlled via two touch panels: there is a panel in the kitchen that can be used to switch sources, adjust volumes and select preset scenarios and radio stations. Another, smaller touch panel directly next to the LED wall enables simple volume control in the room.

Automatic source switching has been programmed for maximum flexibility: as soon as a laptop is connected, the system recognizes the signal and switches the input source accordingly - be it to HDMI or the PC at the lectern on site.

The media technology is also optimally designed for events: In addition to image and sound reproduction, a microphone connection is integrated so that the cafeteria can easily be used for lectures or events. All components are housed in a central media rack, which ensures a clear and secure installation.
