Novartis is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, using innovative science and technology to tackle some of society's most challenging health problems.
Initial situation/requirements:
As a long-standing customer, Novartis is committed to keeping pace with technological progress and incorporating the latest collaboration solutions. This applies to meeting rooms, a studio and the auditoriums on the premises.
Technical implementation:
The largest auditorium at Novartis, called the Gehry Auditorium, seats up to 621 people. The LED wall measures an impressive 12.20 x 5.80 meters and has a resolution of 7680 x 3672 pixels. The sound system is implemented with elegant line arrays that blend in well with the architecture. Nine cameras were installed throughout the room for transmissions and recordings. The lectern with three speaker monitors is also part of the standard technical equipment. In addition to additional projectors, 16 wireless microphones and a presentation system were installed. This room is optimally designed for collaboration functions such as video conferencing, webcasts and streaming. A state-of-the-art, fiber optic-based transmission system connects any room on the campus in real time.
Depending on the event and requirements, the Gehry Auditorium can be divided into "Small" 169 seats, "Medium" 302 seats and "Large" 621 seats using partition walls.
The two control rooms contain fully equipped technical workstations for audio, video, lighting, PowerPoint, collaboration and control of the LED wall or projection. Sound systems round off the control rooms. Recording functions for desired events are guaranteed. The three interpreter booths are also equipped with the necessary technology.
