Novartis is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, using innovative science and technology to tackle some of society's most challenging health problems.
Initial situation/requirements:
The Kilchenmann team has been the technical contact for fixed installations and a specialist for event technology and personnel for many years. Kilchenmann assumes responsibility for the technical planning, coordination and implementation during each event.
Technical implementation:
The largest auditorium at Novartis, the Gehry Auditorium, offers up to 621 seats (Gehry small with room separation - 169 seats). The LED wall measures an impressive 12.20 x 5.80 meters. Kilchenmann has been responsible for implementing the extensive audiovisual installations since 2009 and is continuously expanding them. For the "ASCVD (Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease) International Medical Affairs Summit" event in October, additional components were added to the existing technology in the auditorium.
In order to illuminate the stage flexibly and create different scenarios, Kilchenmann installed and programmed six spotlights, which were seamlessly integrated into the existing system.
We also used additional radio links for microphones, as a large number of speakers were involved in this event. These radio links also ran via the central AV system and could be controlled via it.
Various layouts were used on the LED wall for the event. We faded in a logo with a sound clip at every scene change. Videos, which were displayed across the entire wall, were saved in advance on the media server and a news ticker provided variety during the presentations with live broadcasts.
The team set up a camera station in the foyer to broadcast interviews directly into the auditorium.
Various sets and rented pieces of furniture were used on stage, including a newsreader's table for expert discussions, a sofa and displays for role-playing games, which were accompanied by appropriate sound effects.
The 12-strong Kilchenmann team began setting up and rehearsing two days before the event. After the two-day event, the entire technology was dismantled on the same day. From the audio technician to the video operator, the entire team was on site for a total of four days.
