Galenica is a diversified group of companies in the healthcare market that develops, produces and distributes pharmaceuticals, manages pharmacies, provides logistics services, offers databases and establishes networks.
Initial situation/requirements:
Galenica holds its Annual General Meeting every year. This year, the event was held in the Kursaal Bern. Kilchenmann has been supporting Galenica as a technical partner for many years. The customer benefits from comprehensive support from a single source, including technical planning, coordination and implementation.
Technical implementation:
The existing technology in the Kursaal was supplemented by a mobile video control room and a teleprompter*. The Kilchenmann crew operated and controlled the sound system, the various lighting settings, the projection on the LED wall (two-camera direction: the PowerPoint presentations DE/FR on the left and right and the live image in the middle), numerous laptops and, of course, the PowerPoint/timer inserts. The simultaneous translation system DE/FR was also in operation. The real-time voting system for general meetings from Nimbus AG was networked by Kilchenmann.
A total of ten people were involved in the set-up, rehearsals, event and dismantling.
*The teleprompter allows the presenters to read out their texts without having to look at a pre-prepared paper. This achieves a personal address to the audience with eye contact. What is the optical trick? A spy mirror! This mirror reflects normally from one side. It is transparent from the other side. This spy mirror is mounted in front of the camera lens. The text that the presenter reads is written on the mirror side. The camera looks through the spy mirror from the opposite direction. It does not see any text because the mirror is transparent from this side.
