Kilchenmann AG once again welcomed numerous pupils this year for National Future Day 2025. A day full of technology, insights and exciting encounters and a great opportunity to experience the diversity of our professional world.
Vocational workshops: Learning from our apprentices
The morning was all about discovery. In four professional workshops, the students were given an insight into the areas of IT, multimedia electronics, event technology and commerce. What was particularly nice this year was that the workshops were once again led by four of our apprentices, who showed with great commitment, authenticity and practical relevance what their training at Kilchenmann looks like.
The children gained exciting insights in each workshop:
- IT - They were allowed to try out for themselves how to set up IT devices and solve a short quiz about them.
- Multimedia electronics - Using soldering irons and tools, they learned how technical components are assembled and connected.
- Event technology - They learned how to control lighting systems, use effects and what is important at events.
- KV - This was all about organization, from laminating to professional binding of a small dossier.
Games, fun and lots of winners
After the workshops, things got loud, funny and pretty competitive: everyone fought tooth and nail for great prizes in the big professional bingo . The atmosphere was accordingly exuberant and provided plenty of laughs.
Afterwards, of course, there was also plenty of refreshment: Kilchenmann traditionally invited all the young peopleto eat pizza together, a moment that always leads to lots of discussions and new acquaintances.
In the afternoon: A look at real everyday working life
After lunch together, the children and young people were able to follow their mentors through the real working day. They went along to customer appointments, took a look behind the scenes of various departments or experienced live how projects are planned, managed and implemented.
A particular highlight of this year: some of them were able to accompany the Event & Rental team on a mission and even help set up the 5Floor Party in the Stockhorn Arena Thun. The mixture of event technology, large stage structures and a real production feel was an unforgettable experience for many.
A day that inspires
For Kilchenmann, Future Day is more than just a look behind the scenes - it is an invitation to discover one's own talents, ask questions and boldly try out new professional fields. The beaming faces and genuine interest of the young people showed once again how important such insights are.
We would like to thank all participants as well as our employees and apprentices who put their heart and soul into making the day possible. We are already looking forward to the next Future Day - and perhaps to seeing some of the young talents again soon.
