Kilchenmann has implemented a flexible and modern AV solution in the Bernapark event hall in Stettlen - with mobile display technology, a powerful projector, high-quality sound reinforcement, wireless microphones, wireless presentation and intuitive control via touch panel. All rooms can be connected audiovisually and enable versatile use for a wide variety of event formats.

In the east of Bern, on the site of the former Deisswil cardboard factory, a lively, future-oriented district has been created in the form of Bernapark. Living, working, leisure and culture are combined here in a modern way. In addition to co-working spaces, apartments and fitness facilities, Bernapark also houses prestigious event rooms that can be rented flexibly for private or business events - including the newly developed event hall with its foyer and the stylish BEKB Lounge.

Initial situation/requirements:

As part of the conversion of the historic industrial halls, a multifunctional event location for up to 300 people was created. Kilchenmann AG was commissioned with the planning and implementation of the complete AV technology - a decision based on a long-standing and trusting partnership. The aim was to create a flexible, easy-to-operate and well-equipped system that would be suitable for a wide variety of event formats - from workshops and product presentations to gala events.

Technical implementation:

Two mobile 98-inch Samsung displays on electrically adjustable trolleys enable flexible use in all areas. The network-based signal distribution allows either stand-alone operation or connection to the entire AV system - ideal for modular room use and changing requirements.

In the BEKB Lounge, an Epson projector and screen, a discreet sound system and microphone technology create a sophisticated ambience - perfect for small, upscale events. It is operated via a QSC touch panel, which enables intuitive control of all AV components.

The event hall itself offers plenty of daylight thanks to large glass fronts and pleasant room acoustics. The highlight is the powerful Epson projector with 20,000 ANSI lumens, which produces brilliant images on a 5.75 x 3.6 m screen. Ten integrated loudspeakers ensure an even sound, even when the room is divided. Thanks to the QSC touch panel, the room can be flexibly divided into zones and the sound can be individually adjusted - both lengthwise and crosswise.

With six Shure wireless microphones, various connection options for laptops and the wireless presentation system from Barco, the technical infrastructure is state of the art. The use of Dante audio network protocols also allows easy expansion via a mixing console - for live acts or streaming events, for example.

Conclusion

The AV installation in Bernapark is a successful example of functional versatility, design integration and modern technology. Thanks to the well thought-out infrastructure and user-friendly controls, the rooms offer ideal conditions for professional events of all sizes - and fit seamlessly into the innovative overall concept of Bernapark.
