Data protection

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person is entitled to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. We comply with these provisions.
Personal data is treated as strictly confidential and is neither sold nor passed on to third parties.
In close cooperation with our hosting providers, we strive to protect the databases as effectively as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or falsification. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet can generally be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is therefore not possible. However, we make every effort to keep our website up to date with the latest security standards.

Data processing within the IDS Group

Kilchenmann AG is part of the IDS Group, which comprises several independent companies.
As part of this group affiliation, personal data is sometimes processed jointly within the group, particularly in the following areas:

  • Central CRM system (shared customer data management)
  • Central server and IT infrastructure (shared hosting and data storage systems)
  • Marketing and communication (group-wide newsletters, campaigns, and website management)

Joint data processing is used exclusively for the efficient and uniform handling of business processes, customer support, and central communication within the IDS Group.
All IDS Group companies undertake to comply with the Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG) and—where applicable—the EU GDPR.
Personal data will not be passed on to third parties outside the IDS Group unless this is required by law or necessary for the fulfillment of a contract.
Access to data is only permitted to authorized persons who need it to perform their tasks ("need-to-know principle").

When our website is accessed, the following data is stored in log files

  • IP address

This usage data forms the basis for statistical, anonymous analyses, enabling us to identify trends and improve our services accordingly.

Contact forms, comments, and newsletters

When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the data entered in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the user agent string (to help detect spam).
An anonymized string (hash) may be generated from the email address and sent to the Gravatar service, if used. Once the comment is approved, the profile picture (if used) is publicly visible alongside the comment.
When using the contact form or registering for the newsletter, the data entered will only be used to process the request or to send the newsletter.
By submitting the form, you consent to the storage and processing of the data provided. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

SSL encryption

This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential information, such as inquiries submitted via the contact form.
You can tell that a connection is encrypted because the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and a padlock icon appears.
When SSL encryption is active, the transmitted data cannot be read by third parties.
