By 15 January 2020, various Poly and Polycom systems must be updated with the latest available manufacturer software. If not, the systems will no longer be able to log on to the server.
Microsoft change for the registration of 3rd part products in the cloud.
Microsoft is changing its requirements for the registration of partner systems on which no Microsoft operating system is installed as of 15 January 2020. To increase user security, all systems registered to the Microsoft Azure Cloud must support the OAuth 2.0 authorisation protocol with the third-party (vendor) ID.
The following two points must be carried out in order to be able to continue to register Polycom systems directly with the Microsoft server..:
- In the Azure Cloud, the administrator must give enterprise-wide consent to register non-Microsoft systems.
- A software update of the Poly systems must be made to support the new authentication procedure.
Affected systems
- Trio 8800 and Trio 8500
- Real Presence Group Series (310, 500 and 700)
- CX5500
- VVX telephones
Update Deadline
These systems must be updated with the latest available manufacturer software by 15 January. The manufacturer requires a valid maintenance contract for updating the Poly Group series.
We will be happy to support you with the update.
