Kilchenmann was commissioned to equip the newsroom, which serves as the central communication hub, at the headquarters in Bern with AV technology. The centrepiece, the video wall, consists of nine 55" displays (Full HD / 3 x 3 displays of 1080x1920 pixels = total 9720x17280 pixels). The system control and the AV signal management are installed in the air-conditioned technical room. Via the VuWall Technology image computer, all sources can be displayed with pixel accuracy in any layout. Web content as well as ClickShare, BluRay players, Microsoft Wireless Display, TV signals and other conventional cable connections serve as source signals. This enables the display of nine different image contents on 2m x 3.6m.
In addition, the media technology is equipped with two audio systems: The entire room can be covered by four conventional loudspeakers. There is also the option of using a sound transducer to provide sound only to a focussed radiation area (in this room 60 cm x 60 cm). In this way, the propagation of noise is extremely minimised.
The Kilchenmann team is also responsible for service and annual maintenance.
