With currently 17,031 seats, the PostFinance Arena in Bern is the largest ice sports arena in Switzerland and one of the largest ice sports arenas in Europe.

Kilchenmann has been the SCB's technical and service partner since the stadium was rebuilt in 2008.

The projects started with the installation of the sound system in the main halls and side zones.

Shortly after, we installed the video surveillance system in and around the stadium with about 30 IP cameras and the monitoring center.

Since 2015, Kilchenmann has also realized the SCB intro fire show in the PFA. In addition to the flamethrowers, the fire show is staged by an LED wall and moving spotlights and supported by music. Until the end of the season, every SCB home game begins with this spectacle for spectators.

With the new interior design of the business networking area in 2017, the new displays are particularly striking. The screens offer maximum flexibility for entertainment and information. In addition to normal TV channels, the in-house TV channel broadcasts live game action. During the breaks, advertising and match information is played.
All channels can be individually distributed to the various zones such as restaurants, Energy Lounge, VIP boxes or Arena. The screens can be operated individually via remote controls or centrally via the control system. The IPTV system used is proving to be very flexible to use and expand.

In 2022, the order followed for the replacement of the video cube after 10 years of operation. For the cube and an LED ring running above it, we were involved in both the planning and the realization.

We replaced the existing LED displays with a 4-sided, 88 m² (4.6mm) LED video cube with connecting LED corner elements (total 16 m²). Above this runs a 28 m² LED ring (7.8 mm). Europe's most spectator-rich ice hockey club has the perfect media support to heat up the spectators even more. Only with a special substructure in lightweight construction can such a large cube with the desired additional equipment hold the maximum weight of 10 tons. The system is controlled with the customized content management system [SportInTheBox]. Hereby, besides live pictures, also advertisements can be played.
