Digital visitor information for the Chäserrugg area
We have installed weatherproof LED screens for digital guest information at the Unterwasser railway station and the Alt St. Johann valley station of Toggenburg Bergbahnen AG. These high-quality solutions enable clear and up-to-date communication of information in outdoor areas – in all weather conditions and at a glance.
The Unterwasser station is the sixth building in the Chäserrugg area designed by renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron. The multifunctional building combines the valley station of the new funicular railway with a café-bar, a tourist information center, and offices for Klangwelt Toggenburg.
We were directly commissioned to develop a suitable solution for digital guest information in outdoor areas. The aim was to communicate up-to-date information such as hiking and ski maps, prices, and event details in a centralized and clearly visible manner.
We handled the entire implementation of the project: from design and planning to delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover. Two weatherproof outdoor LED displays measuring 3.5 x 2 meters each and with a pixel pitch of 2.9 mm were installed. We also planned and delivered the substructure. In 2025, we were commissioned to install another identical LED display for Toggenburg Bergbahnen AG at the Alt St. Johann valley station.
Thanks to the high-quality displays, guests can now see all relevant information at a glance—clear, up-to-date, and easy to read in all weather conditions.
