On October 26, 2025, the Swiss City Marathon took place in Lucerne and the surrounding agglomeration. In rainy autumn weather, around 12,550 athletes took part in various distances. The first athletes crossed the finish line in the rain, the last in glorious sunshine. In our role as technical partner, we were once again responsible for the sound system at the start and finish area this year. Careful planning was crucial, especially on the Verkehrshausplatz, which is densely built-up. Here it was important to plan the sound system precisely to ensure that the audience could hear everything perfectly.
We also took over some of the camera technology and provided support with a large LED screen. This enabled us to capture the event comprehensively and let the audience participate in the exciting moments. The LED screen enriched the event both visually and acoustically, allowing the audience to experience every exciting second of the marathon up close and cheer on the runners.
An important aspect of our work was precise planning and coordination to ensure a speedy set-up, as the road could only be closed shortly before the start. Our experienced technicians worked closely with the organizers to ensure that all technical requirements were implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
