We would like to inform you about the release of a new software update for the ClickShare product range, which further improves the security of our wireless presentation and collaboration solution.
Barco ClickShare products have been designed to include security considerations. The privacy and confidentiality of our customers and their data are considered every step of the way in the design, research and development of our solutions. With the latest firmware update, Barco addresses a number of vulnerabilities discovered by the Finnish company F-Secure through ethical hacking on the ClickShare product range. However, to date we have no reports of actual exploitation of these vulnerabilities.
As always, we recommend that our customers download and install the latest firmware to ensure the best possible use and security of the ClickShare products. After updating to the latest firmware, the only way to compromise ClickShare security is through hardware tampering (i.e. opening the devices and soldering on the circuit board).
