Swiss Economic Forum 2023, Interlaken

Written by Kilchenmann | 16 June 2023

The Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) is Switzerland's leading business conference and celebrated its 25th anniversary on June 8 and 9, 2023.

For a quarter of a century, more than 1,000 leaders from business, science, politics and the media have met in Interlaken each year for an active exchange of views and cross-sector dialog. The Swiss Economic Forum is operated by NZZ Connect.

Baseline/Requirements:

The Kilchenmann team has been working as a technical partner for the SEF since 2008. As a technical partner, Kilchenmann assumes comprehensive responsibility for the technical planning, coordination and implementation of the entire spectrum of technical requirements during the event.

Technical implementation:

The sponsors Swisscom (25 years) and Kilchenmann (90 years) are also jubilating this year. To celebrate this special occasion in a fitting way, various surprises such as a laser show and a drone flight choreography were planned for the event. The laser show is an impressive way to enhance an event. Laser systems can create colorful lighting effects and be able to project complex images or animations into the sky. This creates a mesmerizing visual performance that can wow the audience. A drone flight choreography is also an innovative idea and a highlight for all spectators. Drones can fly in synchronized formation and display complex patterns or even images in the sky.

Also this year an outdoor stage was built and a concert by Slädu & Friends was performed. Kilchenmann was able to provide all the technical equipment. This included the installation of PA speakers, lighting technology and microphones.

In the main hall (Forum), a comprehensive all-in-one technology solution from Kilchenmann was installed, with the three LED walls being the standout element. In addition to this installation, there were several breakout rooms that were equipped with extensive multimedia technology. In the breakout sessions, visitors had the opportunity to discuss specific topics in depth with experts.

Around 90 media representatives were on site; Swiss radio and television SRF broadcast the event live on their channels.

The 45-strong Kilchenmann team built up the entire set in Interlaken from June 2. On June 9, after the last session, all displays, LED screens and feeders as well as the entire audio and lighting system were dismantled again and transported away.
