Novartis, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, employs about 11,300 people and reached about 743 million people worldwide with its medicines in 2022.

Baseline/Requirements:

As a long-standing customer, Novartis is committed to keeping up with technological advances and incorporating the latest collaboration solutions. This applies to meeting rooms, to a studio and also to the auditoriums on the premises.

Technical implementation:

The second largest auditorium on campus is called Märkli Auditorium. With 124 seats, it is also a very well booked room. A softedge projection system, column speakers for sound reinforcement, a lectern and two speaker monitors were installed here. In addition to 16 microphone radio links, four cameras were implemented for transmissions and recordings. This room is optimally designed for collaboration functions such as video conferencing, webcasts and streaming. A state-of-the-art, fiber-optic-based transmission system provides real-time connectivity to any room on campus. The control room houses fully equipped technical workstations for audio, video, lighting, PowerPoint, collaboration, and LED wall or projection control. Sound systems round out the control rooms. Recording functions for desired events are ensured.
