Written by Kilchenmann | 16 May 2023

Galenica is a diversified group of companies in the healthcare market that, among other things, develops, produces and distributes pharmaceuticals, manages pharmacies, provides logistics services, offers databases and establishes networks.

Baseline/Requirements:

Galenica holds its Annual General Meeting every year. This year the event was held in the Kursaal Bern. Kilchenmann has supported Galenica as a technical partner for many years. The customer benefits from comprehensive support from a single source, including technical planning, coordination and implementation.

Technical implementation:

The existing technology in the Kursaal was supplemented by a mobile video direction and a teleprompter*. The Kilchenmann crew operated and controlled the sound system, the various light settings, the projection on the LED wall (two-camera arrangement: on the left and right the PowerPoint presentations DE/FR and in the center the live image), numerous laptops and of course the PowerPoint/timer players. In addition, the simultaneous translation system DE/FR was also operated. The realtime voting system for general meetings of the company Nimbus AG was networked by Kilchenmann.

A total of ten people were involved in the set-up, rehearsals, event and dismantling.

*The teleprompter allows the presenters to read their texts without having to look at a pre-prepared paper. This is achieved by addressing the audience personally with eye contact. What is the optical trick? A spy mirror! This mirror reflects normally from one side. From the other side it is transparent. This spy mirror is mounted in front of the camera lens. The text that the presenter reads is written on the mirror side. The camera looks through the spy mirror from the opposite direction. It does not see any text, because the mirror is transparent from this side.
