The focus of the project was the development of a modular, controllable multimedia system that is suitable for daily sporting activities as well as shows, concerts and corporate events. For the arena itself, a sound system was installed that is designed for high speech intelligibility and even sound distribution. It is supplemented by an EVAK system in the surrounding and adjoining rooms, which ensures safety and clear communication in the event of an emergency.
A striking highlight inside the arena is the large-format LED cube measuring 4.5 x 4.5 x 3 meters, which is installed centrally above the pitch. This is complemented by a 182-metre-long LED ribbon board, which is mounted around the arena, as well as around 80 meters of LED boards, which can be used for advertising, stands or animations. These elements open up a wide range of visual possibilities for the emotional staging of content.
For the show lighting, 12 moving heads and 12 area lights were installed, which enable a harmonious lighting design for sports and show formats. All media technology components are controlled via a central playout system that combines audio, video and light in one operating concept - user-friendly, efficient and future-proof.
In the digital signage area, 23 screens provide targeted information and orientation throughout the arena. Outside the main hall, too, the focus was on top quality: Two independent event zones were set up in the VIP area on the third floor and in the foyer on the first floor, each with its own sound system, screens and individual controls. This means that these areas can be used independently of the arena events and for different formats.
